Working around Covid-19

While Coronavirus temporarily closed our HQ, Bags of Blessings has not been idle.

We have had to carefully look at our operating practices and find ways to keep everyone safe. Social distancing is a major issue, but we are reconfiguring our set-up to ensure that there is space for two people to work safely together. There will be masks, gloves and sanitiser in strategic areas to ensure that we, and all our donations, are kept Covid-free.

Donations are slow at this time of the year, but we have been blessed with a sizeable delivery from L’Oréal and were delighted to distribute 2 boxes each to 4 food banks and Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum, plus 5 more to Framework.

As we gain momentum and prepare for our big Christmas push, we have made a space to quarantine all donations for at least 72 hours before they are handled and put into stock or sent out to wherever needed, to ensure the safety of all our beneficiaries :)
